1972

The CFF AGM & Society for Vocational Instructors Educational Conference was held at Okanagan Regional College. One of the issues the CFF had to deal with from the beginning was the relationship between the pre-existing regional vocational institutes and the new community colleges. Joint executive meetings and joint conferences paved the way for "the meld".

Vocational faculty joined the college faculty at Cariboo, CNC, East Kootenay, Fraser Valley, Kwantlen, and North Island. However, they remained separated at BCIT, Camosun, Malaspina, Okanagan, Selkirk, Northwest, and Northern Lights.

The CFF and SVI continued to hold joint conferences for most of the 1970s.
