The legislature passed Bill 22, an amendment to the College & Institute Act establishing Education Councils and providing for the election of constituency representatives on College Boards. The CFF and CIEA had been urging these changes for a long time, and Rob Huxtable (OUCFA) and Pam Burry (DCFA) spearheaded CIEA input. The final draft of the legislation was apparently written in the CIEA Boardroom.
