The CFF hired its first staff member, Director of Research and Field Organizer (DORAFO), Eric Green. Eric had previously worked as a journalist and, during the NDP government, for cabinet minister Gary Lauk. He kept the executive and committees on track by gathering information, writing briefs and brought in the newest regional colleges: Northwest CC (the Academic Workers' Union), East Kootenay CC, and North Island CC.
